all submissions must have a name and contact information of the donor!
All hats must be new and handmade!
Please do NOT make hats if you or anyone you have been in contact with is sick. This should be the general rule anyway, but it is even more important now!
Use ONLY machine wash/dry yarn for the foreseeable future. Patients will want to wash the hats as soon as they get them. NO wool or hand wash only items. Machine washable wool blends should be marked as such to avoid giving them to a patient with an allergy!
Please WASH all hats prior to mailing them to me. This is for my own safety. I’m immuno-compromised and if I get sick, DEHH stops completely. (I’m kind of important to my family too, so please do this!) Please wash, dry and then immediately box your hats to send.
Please include a note saying that you washed them so I know they do not need to be discarded!
no store bought scarves may be attached to hats!
we need all sizes, styles and colors.
men need chemo caps too!
PLEASE DO NOT BRING ITEMS TO MY HOME WITHOUT CONFIRMING THAT I WILL BE HERE FIRST.
If you are donating several hats that are made with the same type of yarn, then one form will be fine. Also, feel free to just put a note with your contact info in with your donation! Thank you!

Please include a 15″ piece of the yarn used for a knit or crocheted cap. The small added piece of yarn will be used to affix the label to your cap. If you do not have an extra piece of yarn, please send your hat anyway. I always have extra yarn around for attaching tags!
